Where:

Bwiam is a town of about 3000 people located between the main South bank road and the Bintang Bolong (river), and is a further 20km inland from Sibanor.  The town has a market, several schools and a large government hospital.  The WEC Agriculture site is located just behind the hospital.

What:

The major WEC project at Bwiam is the large demonstration garden with its tree nursery, orchard of trees for supplying grafting material, and where various ideas for agribusiness are modelled.  Connected to the project are dormitories for school children.  The children attend daily early morning devotions, Bible studies and other weekly meetings, and sometimes help in the garden.  Also located at the Bwiam site is a purpose-built recording studio used for production of audio and audio-visual resources in various local language.

Who?

A long-term couple established the project several years ago, and over the years have been joined by various short-termers, but they are eagerly waiting for another long-term family to join them and share in the work.
